Maximilian Karakatsanis is a film director and writer born in Germany in 1994, currently studying at the Academy of Media Arts Cologne. His films have been shown at international festivals such as the Thessaloniki Film Festival, the Festival Premiers Plans d'Angers, Doclisboa, the Reykjavík International Film Festival, the International Short Film Festival Oberhausen, the Short Film Festival Hamburg, the Duisburger Filmwoche, and the Film Festival Max Ophüls Preis, and have received several awards.
